Izone - Fiesta
Early this year, there is rumor that IZone will disband due to contract. However on January 6, 2020, the members' agencies and CJ ENM reached an agreement to resume the group's activities.The group subsequently released their first studio album Bloom*Iz on February 17. On February 23, Bloom*Iz broke the current record of girl group's first week sales on Hanteo with 356,313 copies sold on its first 7 days; being also the first girl group in the history of Hanteo charts to surpass the 300,000 copies sold mark. Iz*One's first win for the title song "Fiesta" was on "The Show" on February 25
GFriend - CrossRoad
On February 3, GFriend released their eighth EP:Labyrinth, with the lead single "Crossroads".This marked the group's first Korean comeback after the acquisition of Source Music by Big Hit Entertainment in 2019. The music video for this song is referring to the group's previous music videos. No choreography is included which highlights the storyline of the single. "Crossroads" is a sentimental song that shares similarities with their previous single "Time for the Moon Night".
Everglow - Dun Dun
On February 3, 2020, the group released their first mini-album Reminiscence with the lead single "Dun Dun". Everglow was supposed to hold a live fan showcase on February 3 but it was canceled for the public because of coronavirus prevention concerns. They held the showcase without audience where they performed "Dun Dun" and "Salute".
Loona - So What
On February 5, 2020, Loona released their second EP titled #, along with the title track "So What".
The EP debuted at number 2 on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and sold 79,797 copies in the month of February, becoming the group's best selling work to date, while "So What" was the group's highest-charting song on one of Gaon's singles charts, reaching number 68 on the Download Chart. The EP also charted at number 28 on the UK Digital Albums Chart, surpassing their previous EP which charted at number 48. also reached number 1 on iTunes charts in 56 countries, breaking the record for the most number 1 positions of an album on iTunes for a k-pop girl group.
Dream Catcher - Scream
On February 3, Dreamcatcher revealed their teaser schedule for their first Korean studio album. This first studio album—Dystopia: The Tree of Language—was released on February 18, together with the music video for "Scream", an uptempo EDM song. Although this was the first promotion since debut where the group performed as six members (Handong was not present due to an ongoing overseas commitment), the dance for "Scream" was nevertheless choreographed for seven members in order to enable full-member participation in the future.
Rocket Punch - Bouncy
The group made their comeback on February 10, 2020 with their second EP Red Punch and its lead single "Bouncy". The dance version is kinda well know for this song.
Elris - Jackpot
On February 12, 2020, Hunus Entertainment confirmed that the group has added two new members,
EJ and Chaejeong. The group came back on February 26 with their fourth mini album titled Jackpot, which is the group's first release as seven members. (This group is also the one I predict will get famous later on).
DreamNote- Wish
Dreamnote is the only kpop girl group who has comeback in Jan this year, with the single "Wish", but not quite successful even no competitors.
