Kpop Girl Groups Update Jan 2019

Ok,  since I was busy with all kinds of stuff, I will write the first blog for 2019 today.
January is the month for a lot of important girl groups comeback, which includes APink, GFriend , CLC and few others.

APink - Eung Eung

The first Monday of 2019 saw a new release from girl group APink! 'Percent' contains 6 fresh tracks, including the title track "%%." This is their eighth EP, a follow-up to last July's 'One & Six.' In a press conference, they revealed that they've been retooling their sound, starting with "I'm So Sick." This release is just the next step to a more mature-sounding A Pink.
The lead single is "%%," (응응 or eung eung) which means, essentially, "okay." When angled it looks like percent signs, hence the song's title. It sounds a lot different than a traditional A Pink song.
Its use of  snapping beats, and slapping percussion as the members sing about the type of person one should love' make %%(Eung Eung) another song that is a departure from much of Apink's earlier work.

Gfriend - Sunrise

On January 14, GFriend released their second studio album, Time for Us, with the title track "Sunrise". Time for Us became the group's highest selling Korean album with more than 86,000 copies sold based on Gaon Chart.
Time for Us is GFriend's second studio album, released two years and six months after their first studio album, LOL. Time for Us was released on January 14 in 3 versions: "Daybreak", "Daytime" and "Midnight", following this, a limited version of the album was then released on January 25. GFriend started their promotions with Mnet's M Countdown on January 17, where they performed "Sunrise" and "Memoria (Korean ver.)". On January 19, they performed their side track "A Starry Sky" on MBC's Show! Music Core as part of their comeback stage. During the 2nd week of promotions, GFriend took 1st place on all music shows, making them the first artist in 2019 to achieve a grand slam.
